The Grace of Trials

James tells us to count it all joy when we face trials of many kinds, but the truth is we don't want to. Most of us see trials as something inflicted by Satan to be avoided at all costs. To be sure, Satan is involved in some trials. However, some trials are tests sent by God. God uses them to reveal what's in our hearts in order that we might grow and progress in our faith. No Christian matures without them. They are a form of God's grace.
