People feel bad about something they have done or failed to do and decide to pass judgment on themselves-to become their own judge, jury, and executioner. Given the power guilt holds over us, this is understandable. But it is also avoidable. Jesus Christ has already paid the penalty for our sin. We don't need to pay it again.
Mat 27:1-5; Jas 4:12; 1Cor 4:3-5; Act 2:22-38; Mat 6:14-15; Gen 37:1-8; Gen 50:15ff; John 19:30
