Gods Greatest Work

In church we hear stories of great miracles and are often even taught that we should expect them. Then, we are disillusioned when they fail to appear. Why the great disconnect between what we expect and what really happens? Could it be that we have not dared to acknowledge the truth? That is, that God more often works through suffering than through triumph.
